Dontonio Demarco is a
Brooklyn based actor that studied at the New York
School for Dramatic Arts. He is a proud member of
Poetic Theater Company. He is very excited to be
returning to the stage working on She’s Got
Harlem on Her Mind here at the Metropolitan
Playhouse. Previous Credits include, Ducthman,
Stop Kiss, and Salome (produced by
Sacred Circle Theater co)! What a great way to
kick off 2023 with such a lovely piece of work!

Déja Denise Green A
multidisciplinary artist currently based out of
New York, Déja is enthused to be coming together
to create the experience that is She's
Got Harlem on Her Mind! She has been a part
of other theater works such as Blue Stockings
and the Sonnets & Soul Workshop, and
has other credits in film/tv such as Soul Ties,
Say Her Name, and Star Student. She
feels incredibly blessed to be an artist, a
creative of all things, and when she's not acting
you can find her making entertaining &
inspirational content for creatives on social
media and, recently releasing her first single,
making music for the sad yet bad artsy folk! Find

SJ Hannah* was last seen
onstage in The Woods (Pendragon Theater).
Other productions include Superhero (Houses
on the Moon Theatre, Audelco Nom), GTFOH
(Orlando Shakespeare Festival), On Strivers
Row (Metropolitan Playhouse), The
First Deep Breath (National Black Theatre),
Meaningful Conversation (New Light Theater
Project), Invisible Life, The Musical,
(Apollo Theater) and The Lion King
(national tour). He dedicates this performance to
his mom, the perfect fan.

Raven Jeannette is a
Theatre & Film actress based out of
Huntsville, Alabama! She received her B.F.A Degree
from The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
Raven is elated to have received this opportunity
to play the roles of Fanny King (Hot Stuff)
and Lucinda (The Hunch)! She’s blessed to
be working alongside a talented group of artists.

Monique Paige* is a graduate
of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New
York City. She has worked in numerous productions
in the northeast. Some of her accredited works are
in productions of Back to the Old Landmark,
Zooman and the Sign, Breathe Boom and Goliath
in which she was nominated for best actress in the
Planet Connection Festival in New York City.
Monique considers one of her greatest
accomplishments making history by performing in
the first African American play ever produced and
performed at the Barnstormers Theater in Ridley
Park, Pennsylvania, as the role of Bernice from
the August Wilson play, The Piano Lesson.
Monique is making her premiere with the
Metropolitan Playhouse and wants to extend her
gratitude to Alex Roe, Timothy Johnson, the entire
cast and all the people behind the scenes that
helped make this production happen. Along with her
family and UIA Talent for their constant belief
and support.

Timothy Johnson (Director, Original Music) Timothy Johnson (director, original music) made his Off-Broadway directorial debut with On Strivers Row by Abram Hill at Metropolitan Playhouse. The New York Times said that “Timothy Johnson has shaped 16 striking performances here.” The production received Four AUDELCO award nominations including Best Direction for Timothy and Best Revival. Additional directing credits include: These Days for the FLASH ACTS festival, co-produced by Arena Stage, Georgetown University, and the Forum for Cultural Engagement; Metropolitan Playhouse Virtual productions of Aftermath and Compromise; Assistant Director, Cabin in the Sky for New York City Center Encores! Timothy is a member of Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab. His performance highlights include Legends! starring Mary Martin and Carol Channing; REGINA at the Scottish Opera; A Chorus Line on Broadway and nationally; The Temptation of St. Anthony directed by Robert Wilson at the Melbourne International Arts Festival. He is a former Associate Professor of Theatre Arts at Marymount Manhattan College, Assistant Professor of Acting/Movement at Ohio University and Artistic Associate of Rosie’s Theatre Kids. Mary
Caitlyn Deffely (Stage Manager) is
happy to take part in another production with
Metropolitan Playhouse. After graduating from SUNY
Purchase College with a BFA in Theatrical Design
and Technology, concentrating in stage management,
she moved to New York to work as a freelance stage
manager. Credits included: The Sea Lady with
Metropolitan Playhouse, The Imbible: A
Spirited History of Drinking with Broadway
Theatre Studio at New World Stages. She's grateful
for this experience with a wonderful cast and

Vincent Gunn (Set Design) is
thrilled to be returning to the Metropolitan
Playhouse having previously designed Radium
Girls, Thunder Rock, State of the Union, and
Shadow of Heroes. Recent design credits: Hoagy
Carmichael's Stardust Road (York Theater
Company, co-designed with James Morgan), Urinetown
(Hoboken High School), Fastened to the
Moon/Love, Sex, and Real Estate (American
Renaissance Theater Company), She Loves Me
(New London Barn Playhouse). Vincent has also
assisted designers at venues such as Irish
Repertory Theatre, The New York Philharmonic,
Roundabout Blackbox, BAM Fischer and La Mama ETC.

Jevyn Nelms (Costume Design)
is a film and theater costume designer, originally
from Chicago. She is a graduate of The
Fashion Institute of Technology. She has
designed numerous films, plays and

Leslie Gray (Lighting Design)
Leslie Gray is a designer based in New York City
focusing on lighting for theater and events. When
not in a theater, he enjoys sipping (iced) coffee,
watering his plants, and reading about queer
resistance throughout history. Select credits
include Memorial (Laguardia Performing
Arts Center), National Queer Theater's 2019
Criminal Queerness Festival, Dr. Faustus
(The Secret Theater), and Farragut North

Katie Bradley (Intimacy
and Fight Direction) is a proud member of AEA
and has appeared in numerous regional
productions. Some of her favorites include: The
Producers, Nunsense, Guys and Dolls, Sound of
Music, and Beauty and the Beast.
Katie has been the Fight/Intimacy Director for Pippin
and Amityville ’74 at interACT
Theatre company; Everybody, She Kills
Monsters, Our Lady of 121st Street, Urinetown,
The Balcony, Bring It On, and Purgatory
in Ingolstadt at Marymount Manhattan
College; Terrorism at Columbia
University; and A Midsummer Night’s Dream
at LIU Post. As a choreographer, Katie
choreographed Tony Walton's adaptation of Spring
is Here starring Melissa Errico and
was the associate choreographer for the Broadway
tryout of Paint Your Wagon at Pioneer
Theatre Company. Other choreography credits
include Urinetown, Carousel, Cabaret, High
School Musical, and Pajama Game
at Five Towns College; associate choreographer
on The Producers, My Fair Lady, and Chicago
at Pioneer Theatre Company; associate
choreographer on Cabaret, A Funny Thing
Happened on the Way to the Forum, and Smokey
Joe's Café at Virginia
Commonwealth University. Katie was an Associate
Professor of Dance and MOvement at Five Towns
College and is now an Adjunct Professor of
Movement and Acting on Camera at Marymount
Manhattan College. She holds a BGA from
Shenandoah University in Musical Theatre and an
MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University in
Theatre Pedagogy emphasis in Movement. Her most
recent accomplishments have been recording
numerous voice overs and commercials for
national television and training to be a
Certified Intimacy Director with Intimacy
Directors and Coordinators and Theatrical
Intimacy Educators.
