Metropolitan
survives
on the strength of its volunteer corps. It is a
great way to get
involved, from
the "inside". Amiable people, laughter and new friends
are some of the
most obvious benefits. volunteer@metropolitanplayhouse.org |

Metropolitan does not maintain a corps of actors; however, many performers return to the Playhouse within each season and over the course of our seasons, and we are devoted to maintaining the growth of this ensemble. casting@metropolitanplayhouse.org

Metropolitan does
very few new
works. However, we are pleased to accept submissions
throughout
the year. Please note that we will only consider
producing scripts that
take into consideration
Metropolitan's mission, history, goals, and, if
available, the coming season's theme. While we love to receive new works for review, due to the focused nature of our repertoire and the pressures of planning seasons at least a year in advance, general submissions cannot often be considered for immediate production. All scripts are read for their conherance with Metropolitan's work, their producability, the immediacy of the issues raised, or the new light they cast upon American concerns. Submissions--preferably of synopsis and 20 pp samples-- may be sent to connect@metropolitanplayhouse.org
or mail to Artistic Director Metropolitan Playhouse 220 East Fourth Street New York, NY 10009 We cannot return any materials that do not come with a SASE. |
