| You
and I by Philip Barry September 7 - October 7, 2018 |
Matey
White lives an enviable, secure, conventional life with
his wife Nancy and their two children. Yet, at 43, he is haunted by dreams of an artistic career that he forswore at 20. Spurred by an old friend's fame and encouraged by Nancy, Matey leaves business and picks up a paintbrush. But when they see their gifted son give up his own ambitions just as a turn in the markets squeezes the family's resources, the Whites face decisions they thought they'd put behind them—this time, without the naïve confidence of youth. You and I is witty and hopeful, with just enough irony to make it the first Broadway hit by the author of The Philadelphia Story and Holiday. "YOU AND I" is produced by special arrangement with Samuel, French, Inc. |
| Shadow of Heroes by Robert Ardrey November 9 - December 9, 2018 |
In documentary theater style, Shadow of
Heroes follows the intertwined lives of three
people from the liberation of Hungary from the Nazis
in 1945 to its invasion by the Soviet army in
1956. A story of devoted friends and lovers
fighting for their ideals in the face of political
opportunism, temptation, and betrayal, the 1958 play
is a chilling insight into the fragility of decency
and conviction in the face of authoritarian power. |

| State of the
Union by Howard Lindsey and Russell Crouse February 8 - March 10, 2019 |
The Party insiders have the
perfect candidate to take back the Presidency: a
straight-talking, celebrated businessman who promises to
revive Washington with a breath of fresh air. A couple
little matters need to be cleared up--the extramarital
affairs, the political naïveté--but soon enough he's on
his way to the nomination. What they don't count on in his having a mind of his own...and a moral fiber that grows stronger and stronger the deeper he gets in the swamp. An inspiring and cautionary comedy for our time-- all the more because it is surely not of our time! State of the Union is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York. |
| The
Poor of New York by Dion Boucicault April 19 - May 19, 2019 |

Their lives are all intertwined with a young aristocrat, an immigrant family, and a whimsical, opportunistic thief, all struggling with newfound poverty. But in the melodramatic universe, deliverance comes from unexpected places. |
